Resting in a wheelbarrow

Her mom posted the photo, which her dad took noting, "Brian said she was resting reading the cow show catalog."

Wheelbarrow as a chair

Alicia Gonzalez sent this and wrote, "Have You seen this idea before?...I never thought of using it as a chair!!"

I followed the link from the photo above, and someone named Claire Lai had written "I love this lady, she spent most of her life building a theatre on the side of a cliff in Cornwall, by hand with salvaged materials and cement. It is the Minack theatre and she well and truly earned her rest in the wheelbarrow."

Fishbourne excavation, 1960's

Fishbourne Roman Palace has a recent-ish wheelbarrow history.

In the display, which is largely about the discovery, excavation and preservation of the site, there is a photo of lots of archeologists and volunteers with wheelbarrows. In the display there is some graphic art of a man using a wheelbarrow, and another of some of the workers resting (not very comfortably, unless they were really tired and the metal was cool).

That last photo is fun. I've brought it here the day I was there, with a story about wheelbarrows and my dad. Fishbourne, July 17, 2013.
