A small load of large firewood

When this photo arrived from Bruno Venturini Machado, I commented "Whose is it and where? How is someone going to split that wood in Lisbon without risking breaking tile or windows? Car windows and houses? 🙂"

Bruno said they weren't in Lisbon, they were at a farm in the north of Portugal. So there! Safe to split wood. The trees in New Mexico don't make wood like that! I love the small diffences between places.

Lisbon, shoe store

WRONG! That is TWO wheelbarrows! Woohoo!
And in an indoor-advertising pose I've never seen. Very nice.

Rooftop garden in Lisbon

Our "secret spot" at the local school. It's a terrace, on the garage, where the staff does a vegetable garden. I bet any of the school kids knows about it. It's interesting to look at the children at school while being here

Spinach, oranges and herbs (Portugal)

Sandra Dodd, this made me think about you. I'm picking spinach, oranges and many different herbs in my mother in law garden with one of "those cars" that I forgot the name.

Nice photo of the supports around the wheel. Picking spinach and oranges in the same place is amazing, to someone from New Mexico. :-)

Sintra, near Lisbon

Construction within the Castelo dos Mouros (the Moorish castle ruins near Sintra) involved some Portuguese wheelbarrows in action:
