Entryway

An arch between parking lot and Open Space, Albuquerque. Photos by Holly Dodd. Art credited below.

Joshua Robert Willis made it for the City of Albuquerque in 2017 or earlier. It's called "Archbarrow."

Here are more images of this and its relatives, and the concept art, on Joshua R. Willis's blog: Archbarrow/Barrowhenge. (Use "next" or "view thumbnails" when you get there.)

Teeny seedling thief

Karen James wrote:
Egads! Sandra Dodd, look who I found trying to harvest our mimosa pudica seedling. A teeny man with a wheelbarrow. Thought you'd like to see the wheelbarrow, but I told the little guy he'd have to go. We only have one seedling, and simply he can't have it! I took this picture just before he departed. He didn't seem to mind. I think he must have been reflecting on his misfortune. I'll plant some more seeds. If I get more than one sprout, I'll make sure to give him one if he visits again. I'll see if he'll let me take another picture then.

A robot with a wheelbarrow

I saw this flash by on CBS Sunday Morning, in a segment about American artists. Lovely google helped me find an image of it.

The artist is Randy Regier.

In Your Dreams: Kansas artist's mysterious 'toy store' pops up in downtown Riverside.

Here's his own website: randyregier.com. He's creating fake old toys, and they're very interesting. But the important part for me is that he made a wheelbarrow.

The Sunday Morning article is summarized here (this is page 2 of it): A treasure hunt for undiscovered American artists.

The video is on the first page, but might only be viewable in the U.S.:
